In Loving Memory of Capone Halstead – Best friend and Sidekick

March 8th, 2003 – January 22, 2017 (age 14)

It’s a sad day today to say I loss a dear friend on Sunday, January 22, 2017 10:40 a.m. It was very difficult to see him slowly pass away as I pet him in his bed trying to make him as comfortable as I could. I’ll miss you very much Capone and will always Love you.  You’ll never be forgotten.

He loved going on car rides. I took him to Georgia to see my dad while he was stationed down there and New York to see extended family. He was always by me, everything from working in the yard picking up sticks and playing around or even watching T.V with me. Even though he was my dog and my sidekick he was also the family dog. Christmas times were fun because he enjoyed opening presents as much as we did.

He loved his rubber newspaper, his quacking duck and his Frog, and course his tennis ball. Even as small as he was he always thought he was the biggest dog out there and was the protector of the house. He was my best friend. He was always to comfort me when I was sad or if I was struggling with my blood sugars. I don’t know how I will check the mail box without you!

Big personalities sometimes come in the smallest packages! We will miss you always Capone.

Little Doggie, Little Doggie…with a big, big attitude. You were your own Dog! Protector of the Family! Found the bird when he was lost. Was a true friend to your old pal Shadow.  Never known a doggie that could track a turtle like you! And, never turned down a job or a trick for a biscuit!

Rest in Peace Capone. I love you and will miss you very much. You’ll never be forgotten. You left paw prints on my heart and hope you’re in heaven eating all the boo biscuits you want!

Love,

Katherine, Mom, Amanda, Cameron, and Dad Halstead
