Lexi was a breath of fresh air that wafted into our lives eleven short years ago. She was a sweet princess with a fierce devotion to her doting mommy. They were an inseparable pair and, when they were apart, it was very clear that Lexi was patiently waiting for her mommy to return. Her favorite place was wherever her mommy happened to be. She loved rides in the car, begging for food, lounging in the warm sunshine, begging for more food, laying on the cool tile floor, and snuggling with mommy, her blankie, and her favorite pillow. Lexi lost her hearing in her later years, but this didn’t change her spunky personality. It only improved her sense of awareness. She couldn’t hear, but somehow she always knew when mommy’s car pulled in the driveway. She lived her life in anticipation, as sweet puppies do, of every moment she could spend with her favorite person in the world. We were privileged to love her and to care for her. Lexi will always be a precious memory and a treasured member of our family.
