Rudy was our dear beautiful "old guy". He had the soul of an old gentleman. He loved to amble about the yard and rest in the sunshine. Rudy would have been the perfect therapy dog because he loved to be rubbed and petted. He would sit at your feet just to be petted and would paw for more. He allowed us to hug him and cry when we lost his sister, Honey, just 2 years ago. After her death, he seemed to know how much we needed him.
His favorite activity was riding. He preferred the Toyota backseat and would actually sleep in it parked in the yard. Because of the weakness in his rear legs he had not been able to get into the Toyota since early November 2017, but with the aid of a ramp he could get into the Suburban. He had his own bed in the rear of the Suburban and was able to ride. We were privileged to have been able to have him with us 5 months more than we had expected.
Rudy, we will miss you and we love you always. Go run with Honey.
Love,
Mama and Daddy
