"Wish DuFresne, September 2011(est.) to October 24, 2023. Wish was adopted from Wayne County Animal Shelter in September 2012 when she was about a year old. She was picked up as a stray and was very skittish when I first brought her home. But with a lot of love and a little training, she became the sweetest, happy, and loving dog I've ever known.
She was named Wish because the white from her nose stretched up between her eyes and ended in a wishbone between her ears. Wish loved and was loved by everyone she met. She always had a smile on her face and would prance when she walked. She loved running along the back fence and barking at the tractors in the field behind our house.
She also really loved chasing tennis balls but instead of bringing them back, she would lay down and chew on them :) Wish got to see a lot of cool things as she always rode in the truck with me to visit family. In our 11 years together, she saw the beauty of northern New England, the lighthouses and beaches of the NC Outer Banks, the Blue Ridge and Great Smokey Mountains, Nashville, TN and even a trip to Indianapolis. Wish, I love you so much and will miss you dearly. Rest in peace, my sweet girl."
